Chen Shen, Experienced Criminal Defense and Immigration Appeal Attorney

Chen Shen completed his Bachelors degree at Simon Fraser University, and obtained his law degree from the University of British Columbia and articled with esteemed criminal defence lawyers. He practiced briefly at a firm in downtown Vancouver, mainly in civil litigation, before joining Henderson & Lee. Chen also has prior experience in public interest law related to internet, technology, and privacy.

 

Chen now has a dynamic practice in civil/commercial litigation and criminal defence, with related areas including tenancy, immigration, and quasi-criminal/regulatory matters. He leverages interdisciplinary experience to bring a thoughtful, solution-oriented approach to each matter. Chen has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia, the Federal Court, and various tribunals.

Chen approaches each case with a view to the client’s goals and strives to achieve the desired result in the most effective manner.

Court of Appeal Matter

Mr. Shen represented the respondent before the British Columbia Court of Appeal, following a complex family law proceeding in which the respondent had been the original claimant. Through focused and strategic appellate advocacy, the appeal was dismissed and Mr. Shen successfully defended the favourable outcome and protected the client’s interests on appeal.
